letter to feinstein-o-tron

for loganotron’s birthday last week:
Dear Senator Feinstein,
As an American citizen I am utterly appalled that the Senate, and you as my representative, have passed the “Protect America Act” (s. 1927). What could you possibly be thinking, as a representative of the American people? How could you believe that cowing to the President, a man who has abused his power and the power of surveillance on citizens over and over again, would be a viable solution or compromise? Citizens have fundamental rights to privacy, and this bill deeply and boldfacedly defies those very rights.
This bill must be repealed now. Even though it is a “temporary” solution, another six months of spying and questionable activity by the NSA is unacceptable, especially when directed by our dishonest and fear-mongering President. Take back your power and make a difference. Do not bow down in fear to our country’s leader - it’s shameful and disrespectful to the very people that you represent.
Thank you,
